The exposure ladder
Ten rungs between a high school hallway and a national
evaluator. This page exists so that "nobody knows about him" stops being a mood and becomes a number
you can watch move. It is updated at the end of every week of this save.
Week 0 baseline. No change from Week 0 opening, because there
was no Week −1.
How to read this. A rung counts as reached when an institution at that level has him
on a list — not when one person at that level has heard of him. The distinction is the whole point.
Two FBS assistants have watched his film, which puts two human beings at rung seven, and the ladder
still reads three, because two men are not two programs. When somebody tells you the exposure
problem is solved because a coach replied to an email, this is the page that says no.

Michigan-specific recruiting newsletters and boards — The Mitten Board, message-board evaluators
The Mitten Board publishes a 2027 Michigan quarterback notebook. It runs to eleven names and a watch list of nine more. He is not on either.

He has no profile. Not an unranked profile — no page, no entry, no row. As far as the databases are concerned this player does not exist.

Two men here have watched his film: Craig Harmon at Ball State and Christian Taylor at Wyoming. Both because he emailed them himself. Neither of their programs knows his name, neither has told anyone in their building, and there is no file open at either school.

Nothing. Zero programs have made an institutional decision about him, including a negative one, because to decide against a player you first have to hear of him.

Zero, ever. No timed forty, no shuttle, no vertical, no verified height or weight. Nobody outside this county has ever put him against a wall.

Rung 4 — regional press
The nearest one
A Friday night big enough that MLive writes about him rather than about a division.
Zuke has already done the charting; what he has not done is make him the subject. Two hundred
and fifty yards against Clio in front of a reporter who already has the file open does it.
Rung 5 — the grassroots services
The realistic one
Getting onto the Mitten Board's watch list requires one person with a newsletter to type his
name once. That is a lower bar than it sounds and a harder one to arrange than it sounds, because
nobody has ever told them he is there.
Rung 9 — a stopwatch
The structural one
The rung with a locked door on it. The camp calendar ran June 1 to July 25 and it does not
repeat, and he is a senior. Any timed number, held by anyone impartial, anywhere, at any point
before December, is worth more to his file than another perfect Friday.
Rung 6 — a database row
The strange one
He does not need to be ranked. He needs to exist. An unranked profile page with a
correct height and a link to film is a categorically different object than no page at all,
because a coach can find the first one by accident.
The two men at rung seven
Both of those conversations happened because a seventeen-year-old worked out an email
format and sent film to strangers. Neither happened because of anything the adults around him did,
and neither has produced a single institutional consequence. That is what rung seven looks like from
rung three.
The uncomfortable arithmetic. He has thrown thirty-five touchdowns and no interceptions in a
season, and the number of college programs that have formed any opinion of him whatsoever —
good, bad, or filed for later — is zero. Those two facts sit next to each other on this page
on purpose. The gap between them is the save.
