How this was done. Ari Mansour built a 140-row spreadsheet of programs within driving distance with contact information pulled off public staff directories. Nick chose nine, wrote nine different messages, and sent them himself between August 12 and August 19. Every message was addressed to a position coach or recruiting coordinator by role through the program's listed recruiting channel. Nobody at Fenton High School placed a call on his behalf; Paul Shaffer has separately emailed six people he knows personally, which is tracked at the bottom of this page.

He changed one variable. Instead of writing to a program's general recruiting channel, he found the specific coach whose job is teaching quarterbacks, wrote to that person by name, and asked a coaching question instead of making a pitch. What the HUDL analytics actually say. Four of the first nine links were opened. One was watched all the way through, twice, by someone who then went and found a full unedited game and watched forty-one minutes of it. HUDL does not tell you who. It tells you that it happened. Nobody at Grand Valley State has said a word.

Silence is a result. Six of twelve messages produced no evidence that a human being ever looked at them, including a Big Ten program sixty-five miles from his house. That stays on this page. It does not get quietly upgraded into momentum next week.

And two replies are not a recruitment. Two position coaches read a good email and answered it honestly. Neither program has offered anything, scheduled anything, called Fenton, or told anyone else in their building his name. What he actually gained this week is a to-do list: full games after every three, and a camp with a stopwatch that does not currently exist on any calendar.
